Spilsby Pupils Present a Cheque: September 2007
The Year 3 pupils at Spilsby Primary School presented a £100 cheque to Dr and Mrs Islam for their ABS UK Projects. The money will be used as an interest free loan for four families i
n Bangladesh to enable them to be self employed and better able to support themselves. When the money has been repaid, probably in just over a year's time, it will again be used to support some other families.
The pupils have spent some time choosing the families they wish to support and sending questions to them to find out more about their lives.
Spilsby School is already planning for the money raising event for the coming year.
