Ideas for a School Aid Club

 

·         To be organised either as a part of the School Council or a another body representing the pupils or members

·         To meet approximately once a month (more often if required)

·         To decide on and be involved in the organisation of the school’s / organisation’s charitable fund raising programme

o    Agreeing the major fixed charitable fund raising events

§   Poppy Appeal

§   Children in Need

§   Red Nose Day

o    Deciding on fund raising for major Disasters (e.g. Disaster Emergency Committee Appeals, UK Disasters)

o    Agreeing other fund raising projects for the coming year

§   Mini-Enterprises on School Aid Network (SAN)

§   Projects on School Aid Network

§   Other Charities not on SAN

·         Contacting SAN to ask for Charities to be registered on their site

·         To lead the school in communicating with schools world-wide

·         To be aware of other Charity Events in the district

·         To ensure money is pledged, sent to the appropriate organisation and down load a certificate

·         Organising pupils to keep the School / Organisation   SAN web pages up to date

·         Encouraging local charities to register with SAN and then organising pupils to keep the Charities   SAN web pages up to date

·         To write news articles that can be sent to SAN for inclusion in the News Section

·         To develop assemblies and curriculum material resources to be added to the SAN web pages

·         To keep accounts and minutes

·         To organise and carry out charitable activities

·         To encourage colleagues to take part in volunteer activities and advertise, were appropriate employment activities
