Education For All Partnership: May 2008

Simon with Margaret and CheryleThree of School Aid Trustees, Margaret, Cheryle and Alan, met Simon Devine (International Development Manager at Education For All at Corby. Education For All seek to ensure that in the UK, the building of new schools, is done in a way that has benefits on a local, national and global level by promoting life-llong learning and sustainability for everyone. In little over 12 months 43,093 items have been shipped on 24 containers to almost 50 schools in the developing world.

We were shown around the warehouse and the processes were explained. It was reassuring to see how a minimum of resources is spent on administration.

School Aid Network agreed to work towards sending to Bangladesh , later in the year, a 40 foot container. Education For All would arrange the loading and shipping of a container and offered any furniture we would like to choose from the warehouse.

We believe that we have forged an excellent partnership and would encourage any organisation that wishes to send furniture or equipment to developing countries to contact www.educationforall.com
