Caistor Pupils raise over £560 : July 2007

undefinedNine year four children at the Caistor Church of England and Methodist Primary school organised and ran a disco to raise money for the School Aid Network which was set up by retired head teacher Alan Dennis and Dr Cheryl Berry, retired Director of Education.

To advertise the discos some of the children designed and displayed posters at the school and raised over £560 from the proceeds of the disco and by collecting money during a non-uniform day.

Some of the money will help a man in Bangladesh to set up a rickshaw business and some will pay for children to go to school.  The children hope to follow the progress of the children and to raise more funds.

Alan Dennis was delighted to receive the money from the school when he attended an assembly and thanked everyone involved in raising such a fantastic amount of monet for this worthwhile fund.
