School Aid Network has already co-ordinated the fund raising of 3,000 UK schools raising £1.3 million for the Tsunami Appeal. They have gone on to work with Plan UK in building a school in Sri Lanka and have other projects underway (e.g. designing websites, small projects in Bangladesh and a possible hospital).
A partnership between the private sector and a charity organisation for the benefit of all concerned. Skills sharing across Technology and Education.
Electronic Profile covers all aspects of Every Child Matters (ECM), in recording evidence for individual pupils. We believe it is the only electronic profile to do this.
One particular pillar of ECM make a positive contribution will be able to be linked to the Charity School Aid Network, providing real-time evidence of outcomes.
School Aid Network is a national based framework which will enable a wide range of linking between schools, FE and HE in the UK and their counterparts worldwide (e.g., curriculum materials,, volunteering and job vacancies, fund raising appeals, linking skills to needs, etc.)
We believe that this partnership is a model that could be adopted by other businesses and charities. It is mutually beneficial and strengthens the communities in which they operate locally, nationally and internationally.
